Your donation today ensures children and older adults throughout Western Pennsylvania can stay warm throughout the cold winter season.

WTAE-TV’s project Bundle-Up provides all NEW warm, winter outerwear – including coats, hats, gloves, scarves and boots – for children and senior citizens from low-income households throughout Western Pennsylvania. This joint program is implemented by The Salvation Army Western PA Division and WTAE Channel 4.

This program was created in 1986 by the late Chief Meteorologist Joe DeNardo, Board Members Jeanne Caliguiri and the late Patricia Rooney, The Salvation Army Lieutenant Colonel Robert A. Watson, and late former Vice President and General Manager Fred Barber. For many participating children and older adults, the experience of WTAE-TV’s project Bundle-Up is the first opportunity they have ever had to shop for something brand NEW for themselves. Dedicated corporate and community volunteers, including members of the Pittsburgh Steelers, ensure that the experience is not just about receiving new items but also about creating meaningful memories.
