Our shelves are empty.
Help us keep Peekskill fed. With skyrocketing costs and unprecedented demand, The Salvation Army needs urgent support to keep our pantry and soup kitchen from shutting down.

The need in Peekskill has never been greater.
Right now, The Salvation Army in Peekskill is facing a food crisis. Last year, our soup kitchen served 23,600 meals, a 281% increase, and our food pantry distributed 102,300 meals through grocery orders, a 353% increase.
Our hungry visitors have nearly quadrupled, and we’re distributing over 1,000 pounds of food weekly. It’s more than we ever imagined, and we’re struggling to keep up.
1 in 5 Peekskill residents lives below the poverty line. That’s more than 5,000 of our neighbors. And yet, we’re the only daily soup kitchen within 30 minutes. With skyrocketing food costs, our weekly budget has jumped from $850 to $2,200.
We’ve already spent more than double what we planned for the year, and demand is only rising. We’re learning how to stretch every donation, but we need your help now. Your gift will go straight to stocking our pantry, filling plates, and keeping our meals going strong.
This isn’t just about food. It’s about dignity, care, and being there when no one else can be.
